Recycle for AoA

BE AN ENVIRONMENTAL HERO
and help Artists of America provide education programs

If we don’t recycle, we will eventually run out of space for all of our trash. What will we do with it then?

It's important to recycle toxic products like ink cartridges and cell phones and keep them out of the landfills Recycling not only protects our environment, but also gives us an opportunity to make some extra cash. In this case, your chance to donate to Artists of America.

We are excited about the eScrip Recycle Program because they will pick up your inkjet, deskjet, toner cartridges and cell phones at no charge PLUS pay top dollar to fund our education programs!

It's so easy, too.

All you need to do is box up your recyclables and call us at (310) 809-5277. We'll send you a shipping label and arrange a pick up. What could be more simple?

So be an Environmental Hero and at the same time contribute to Artists of America! You'll feel good about saving the earth and making a difference in a student's life.

DID YOU KNOW?

Recycling:
§ reduces the demand on our natural resources,
§ saves valuable landfill space, and
§ creates opportunities for new industries.

The United States generates approximately 208 million tons of municipal solid waste (MSW) a year. That's 4.3 pounds per person per day.

The state's overall recycling rate has grown from 11 percent to 37 percent in the past 10 years (Calaveras County is approaching 40 percent).

The steel industry recycled nearly 19 billion steel cans into new products; about 600 cans recycled every second.

It takes 95% less energy to make an aluminum can from recycled aluminum cans rather than virgin resources. That’s enough energy to run your TV for three hours!

Recycling one glass bottle saves enough electricity to light a 100-watt bulb for four hours.
